Planetarium Coves Almost Empty

April 2009, The work in the planetarium is about to begin. We will be getting a new dome, new seats and new carpet. Behind the dome is some insulation that needs to be removed. The contractors will be here to start ripping out the old dome near the start of May.
There is usually a bunch of old junk on the shelves below the coves. We need to move everything out of the way before the dome comes down. Here are some photos of the junk that has been moved into the Black Light Gallery and the near empty coves.

This is the subwoofer. The box is filled with about a quarter ton of sand.
