Aquarius

Aquarius

When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars
This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius
The Age of Aquarius
Aquarius!
Aquarius!
Aquarius!

This song refers to the fact that the vernal equinox is slowly shifting into the constellation of Aquarius.

Due to the Earth's precession, the point where the celestial equator crosses the plane of the ecliptic drifts very slowly. Two thousand years ago the intersection point, also known as the vernal equinox, was in the constellation of Aries. Another name for this intersection point is "The first point in Aries". It has since moved into Pisces. In future years, it will be in the constellation of Aquarius. It takes about 26,000 years for the earth to complete one precessional cycle.
